Eudora v4.x (PC) - Account Setup

If you're having difficulty setting up your email account with Eudora version 4, follow these instructions:

The following example is illustrated using Eudora v4.3.1.

Select Tools...Options

This will bring up the following window:

Fill in the following information:

Real Name	Your name goes here (e.g. Joe Smith)
Return address	Your email address is username@yourdomain.com
Mail Server (Incoming)	Your POP3 server is mail.cybermill.com
Login Name	Your POP3 Account ID is username%yourdomain.com
SMTP Server (Outgoing)	Your SMTP Server is mail.yourdomain.com

Now click on the Incoming Mail category to display the following:

Make sure that POP is selected under Server configuration. Click on Sending Mail to display the following:

There are three items in this window that the dialog box on your screen needs to mirror, the rest are at your discretion: Return address, SMTP server, and the check box for Allow authentication. Verify that they match the settings above.

Click on OK to save these settings. You can now send and receive email with your Cybermill account.
