Netscape Communicator v4.x (Mac) - Account Setup
If you're having difficulty setting up Netscape Communicator version 4.x (Mac) for use with your Cybermill email account, follow these instructions.
The following example is illustrated using Netscape Communicator v4.7.0.
Click Edit...Preferences....
Click on Identity and enter your name as you'd like it to appear in emails (e.g. Joe Smith).
Your email address is username@yourdomain.com
Now select Mail Servers:
Click on the Add button in the upper right hand corner of the window. The following window will open:
Enter the following information:
| Server Name | Your POP3 Server is mail.cybermill.com |
| User Name | Your POP3 Account ID is username%yourdomain.com |
Click on OK to save these settings and return to the Mail Servers window:
Enter the following information:
| Outgoing mail (SMTP) server | Your SMTP Server is mail.yourdomain.com |
| Outgoing mail server user name | Your POP3 Account ID is username%yourdomain.com |
When done entering this information, click on OK to save these settings. You can now send and receive email with your Cybermill acount.
