Netscape Communicator v4.x (PC) - Account Setup

If you're having difficulty setting up your email account with Communicator version 4, follow these instructions:

The following example is illustrated using Netscape Communicator v4.7.0.

Select Edit...Preferences

This will open the following window:

Click on Identity and fill in the following information:

Your name	Put your full name here (e.g. Joe Smith)
Email address	Your email address is username@yourdomain.com

Now click on the Mail Servers category to bring up this window:

Click on the Add button to bring up the following dialog:

Fill in the following information:

Server Name	Your POP3 server is mail.cybermill.com
Server Type	Your server type is POP3 Server
User Name	Your POP3 Account ID is username%yourdomain.com

Click on OK to return to the previous window.

Fill in the following information:

Outgoing mail (SMTP) server	Your SMTP Server is mail.yourdomain.com
Outgoing mail server user name	Your POP3 Account ID is username%yourdomain.com

Click on OK to save these settings. You can now send and receive email with your Cybermill account.
