Nisus v1.x (Mac) - Account Setup

If you're having difficulty setting up your email account with Nisus version 1.6, follow these instructions.

The following example is illustrated using Nisus v1.6.1 on the MacOS X.

Select Personalities...New

This will bring up the following window:

Fill in the following information:

Personality Nickname	The personality nickname needs only to be a name by which you will recognize the account (e.g. My Cybermill Account)
Your Actual Name	Put your full name here (e.g. Joe Smith)
Your E-mail Address	Your email address is username@yourdomain.com

Now click on the middle tab, Receiving Mail, and the window changes to look like this:

Fill in the following information:

Incoming (POP) Mail Server	Your POP3 Host is mail.cybermill.com
POP Login Name	Your POP3 Account ID is username%yourdomain.com
POP Password	Your password is personally given to you

Checking the Save my POP password box should save you from being required to enter your password every time you check your mail.

Now click on the right tab, Sending Mail, and the window changes to look like this:

Make sure the box is checked for My outgoing mail server requires authentication and fill in the following information:

Outgoing (SMTP) Mail Server	Your SMTP Server is mail.yourdomain.com
SMTP Login Name	Your SMTP login is username%yourdomain.com
SMTP Password	Your password is personally given to you and is the same as above

Again, checking the Save my SMTP password box should save you from being required to enter your password every time you send your mail.

Click Save to save the changes to this account and exit out of this window.

You are now ready to send and receive email with your Cybermill account.
